On 27 September 2023 the new look Ovid platform will be implemented at Austin Health.
There is a new look and feel user interface (and some new features), but all functionality remains the same.
Ovid platform databases at Austin Health: MEDLINE, Embase, Emcare, Ovid Nursing, JBI EBP, and PsycINFO.
The screen is now “cleaner” and lighter, and some of the boxes and buttons have moved
The advanced search box is now bigger so you can see all of your search string
It is easier and quicker to see the search limits and filters
In basic search, your related search terms are highlighted in teal
You can personalise your export settings, including whether to export the documents as word or pdf, and also choose what citation style you want to use
Do I need to create a new Ovid account?
No, all your account details are the same.
Can I access My Workspace and all my saved searches?
Yes, all your saved searches are still available.
Do I have to use the new Ovid, can I keep using the old one?
Yes, you need to use the new version. If you need any help, contact the Library and we will be happy to help you.
