This guide gives you step-by-step instructions on how to download some of the most often used apps at Austin Health and Mercy Heidelberg. Check the important information below the app icons before you begin!

Important information before you begin

Each app has special access, login and downloading requirements. To make installation easier: 

  1. Come into the Library to set up your apps.
  2. Use a Library networked computer when creating accounts for each app. Note: you cannot use your personal device on Austin Wifi, you must be on a networked computer (due to I.P requirements).
  3. Open your Austin email and personal email (to check for access codes).
  4. Register for a Clinicians Health Channel (CHC) account (A CHC account is required for free access to some apps).
When you are ready
  1. Go to the website for each app and create your account details. 
  2. On your mobile phone, or other mobile device, come back to this Library webpage and follow the links and instructions to download each app. Login using the username and password you just created.

BrowZine and QXMD

BrowZine and QXMD are two apps that enable you to follow your favourite journals and receive alerts when new articles and issues are published. Instructions and links to download BrowZine and QXMD.

The Library space is available 24/7 to Austin Health and Mercy Heidelberg staff and students. Use your security card for access. Library staff are available Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm except Vic. public holidays.
