Why do a peer review of the search?

We like to ensure that the search strategies we produce are of a rigourous standard. This involves factoring in a peer review of the strategies by a second librarian or information specialist with experience in expert searching. This quality assurance (QA) step is important as most journal peer-reviewers are not expert searchers and may not identify issues of concern in relation to the search methodology.

Allow an additional 1-2 weeks in your project timeline for this important QA process to occur.
