EndNote installation and training

EndNote licences

Austin Health Sciences Library has EndNote Licences available for Austin staff. Please complete this form and Library team will contact you with the necessary license and  instructions for installation.

EndNote in the Library

The Library has EndNote installed on library computers. If you need assistance, please ask a librarian in the library.

To enable the OpenURL feature in EndNote:

Navigate to the Edit menu and select Preferences.

  1. Click on Find full text
  2. Check the box for OpenURL
  3. Enter the Austin OpenURL path: https://austin.on.worldcat.org/atoztitles/link
  4. Enter the authentication URL: https://austin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=
  5. Click  Apply and then Ok.

After setting these preferences, you should be able to access full text.

But please be aware that Find Full Text is not compatible with all providers.
 
The following providers are not compatible with Find Full Text :

  • EBSCO
  • JSTOR
  • OpenAthens
  • Wiley*
  • ScienceDirect*

EndNote training

There are many training videos and documents for the beginner and advanced users of EndNote. Make sure to check which version of EndNote you have installed before you begin and take note if the training material is for Windows or Mac users.
