Austin Health Research Online (AHRO)

Austin Health Research Online (AHRO) is Austin Health's open access repository. Content includes journal articles, reports, books or book chapters, annual reports, conference papers, multimedia and images submitted by Austin Health affiliated clinicians and researchers.

AHRO is managed by the Austin Health Library.

AHRO enables:

• researchers to comply with the open access requirements of Australian Research Council (ARC) and National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). These requirements state that publications that are made possible by their funding, even in part, must be available via an institutional repository within 12 months of being published. 

and

• a centralised repository for knowledge sharing
• safe, long-term archiving with permanent URLs
• indexing on Google, Google Scholar and other academic search engines
• enables increased visibility, readership and citation rates
