Getting started at Austin Health Library

Join the Austin Library: how to collect your Library card

After joining the Library, please drop-in between 8.30-5pm Monday-Friday to collect your Library card and extend your membership. You will find us 4th floor, Lance Townsend Building (opposite the John Lindell Theatre) - which is just across the walkway that joins Mercy Heidelberg and Austin Health.

Your Austin Library membership includes:

  • databases
  • eBooks
  • book loans
  • document delivery and inter-library loans (staff only)
  • remote access to Clinical Key, Clinical Key Nursing, Lippincott.

It does not include access to UpToDate, BMJ Case reports or Australian Standards. Refer to the Mercy Heidelberg intranet for DynaMed as an alternative.

The Austin Library homepage gives you quick access to the major medical databases such as PubMed, BMJ Best Practice, ClinicalKey for Nursing, Lippincott Procedures, Lippincott Advisor, ACORN Standards and more
